Legal
Terms of Service
The short version.
- You may play our games for personal, non-commercial use. We own the games; you get a licence to play them.
- Play fair and treat other players well. Cheating, harassment and exploiting bugs can get you suspended or banned.
- Virtual currency and items are licences to use in the game, not money or property, and cannot be cashed out.
- Online features need servers. We will give at least 60 days' notice before we shut down a game's online services.
- Nothing here takes away the rights consumer law gives you where you live.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and „VENI VIDI GAMES” S.R.L. (“Veni Vidi Games”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the Republic of Moldova, IDNO 1026023158101, registered office bd. Mircea cel Bătrân 50, bl. 4, ap. 906, MD-2075 Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.
They apply to our games on every platform and to our online services: player accounts, matchmaking, game servers, leaderboards, cloud saves, chat, friends and parties, in-game purchases, and player support (together, the “Services”). By creating an account, buying, downloading or playing a game, you accept these terms, our Community Rules, and the way we handle data described in our Privacy Policy.
A game may have extra rules for a particular event, tournament, beta or feature. Where it does, they are shown in the game and apply together with these terms. If they conflict, the extra rules win for that event or feature.
2. Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services.
- If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and is responsible for your use of the Services, including purchases.
- Where local law requires parental consent for data processing above 13 (up to 16 in parts of the EU), you need that consent to create an account.
- You may not use the Services if we have previously banned you, or if the law where you live forbids it.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens on your account unless it is used without your permission and you were not careless. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
- Accounts are personal. Do not sell, trade, rent, share or give away your account, and do not buy anyone else's.
- Choose a display name that follows the Community Rules. We may change names that do not.
- You can delete your account at any time; see account deletion. Deleting it removes your progress and any virtual items, which cannot be restored.
4. Your licence to play
The games and the Services, including their code, art, music, characters, names and the Veni Vidi Games brand, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. When you buy or download a game, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play it for your own non-commercial entertainment, on devices you own or control, following these terms and the rules of the platform you got it from.
Unless the law expressly allows it, you may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or distribute the games or any part of them;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble them, or try to extract source code or assets;
- modify game files or memory, or create derivative works, except through modding tools we officially provide;
- remove or change copyright notices, or use our brand in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Videos and streams. You may stream our games and post videos and screenshots of them, including on monetised channels, as long as you add your own commentary or gameplay, do not misrepresent them as yours or as official, and do not share unreleased content you were asked to keep confidential. We may withdraw this permission for specific content that harms players or the games.
5. Online and multiplayer services
- Connection required. Online and multiplayer features need an internet connection and may need an account. Your internet and data costs are yours.
- Availability. We work to keep the Services running, but they may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, outages or events outside our control. Some features may not be available in every country.
- Updates. You may need to install updates to keep playing online. Updates may add, change or remove features and balance.
- Wipes and resets. Test, beta and early-access versions may have their progress reset. We will tell you in advance where we can. Seasonal rankings and leaderboards reset as described in the game.
- Shutting down online services. We may end a game's online services when it is no longer sustainable to run them. We will give at least 60 days' notice in the game or on this website, stop selling virtual items for that game when we give notice, and where possible keep an offline mode playable. If the law where you live entitles you to a refund, you will get one.
- Other players. We are not responsible for what other players do or say, but we act on reports under the Community Rules.
6. Fair play and conduct
You agree to follow the Community Rules. In particular, you must not:
- cheat, or make, use or share cheats, bots, macros, aimbots, wallhacks, unauthorised overlays, or any software that gives an unfair advantage or automates play;
- exploit bugs or glitches on purpose, rather than reporting them to us;
- manipulate matchmaking or rankings, including win trading, boosting, smurfing to avoid fair matches, or deliberately losing;
- attack, overload, probe or disrupt our servers or other players' connections, including denial-of-service attacks and network manipulation;
- access the Services in ways we do not provide, or interfere with anti-cheat or security systems;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone, or share illegal, sexual or hateful content;
- sell, buy or trade accounts, items, currency or services for real money outside our official stores;
- use the Services to commit fraud or break the law.
Anti-cheat. To keep games fair, we use server-side checks and may use anti-cheat software in the game client. These look at gameplay data, the game's own files and memory, and processes that interact with the game, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of anything you create and share through the Services, such as chat messages, names, custom levels, designs and other content (“Your Content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, show, adapt (for example to fit a screen or a format) and distribute Your Content, only as needed to run, show, moderate and promote the Services. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from the Services, except where it has been shared with others who keep it, or where we must keep it by law or for moderation.
You are responsible for Your Content. Only share what you have the right to share, and nothing that breaks the law or the Community Rules. We may remove Your Content that does. We do not claim ownership of your ideas, but if you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Reporting illegal content and copyright. To report content that is illegal or that infringes your rights, email [email protected] with where it appears and why you think it is unlawful. We act on valid notices promptly and tell the uploader, who may respond.
8. Purchases, virtual items and refunds
How you buy
You buy games, expansions, virtual currency, items, passes and subscriptions through a store (such as Steam, the App Store, Google Play or a console store) or through our own checkout. The store's or payment provider's terms apply to the payment itself. Prices are shown before you buy and include taxes where the store requires.
What virtual items are
- Virtual currency and virtual items are a limited licence to use digital content in the game. They are not money, have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for real money or goods, and cannot be transferred between accounts, platforms or games unless the game says so.
- Balances and items may change as part of normal game design and balance updates, but we will not take away items you paid for without a reason set out in these terms.
- Virtual currency does not expire while your account is active.
Random rewards
If a game sells items with random contents, it shows the odds for each item before you buy. Where the law in your country restricts paid random items, they will not be offered to you.
Subscriptions and passes
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel any time in the store you bought it from, and it stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We will tell you before any price change takes effect.
Refunds and your right to cancel
- Store purchases are refunded under the store's refund policy (for example, Steam, Apple and Google each have their own). Ask the store first.
- Digital content and the right to withdraw. If the law where you live gives consumers a right to cancel online purchases (in the EU, usually 14 days), it applies to purchases from us. For digital content delivered immediately, such as a game download, virtual currency or items, you lose this right once delivery starts, but only if you agreed to immediate delivery and confirmed that you understand you lose the right to cancel. We will ask for that consent at checkout.
- Faulty content. If something you bought does not work as described, tell us. We will fix or replace it, or refund you, as consumer law requires.
- Unauthorised purchases. If someone, such as a child, made purchases without permission, contact us or the store as soon as possible.
If you reverse a payment or file a chargeback for a purchase you made and received, we may remove the items from your account and suspend it until the matter is resolved.
9. Platforms and third parties
If you play through a platform such as Steam, the App Store, Google Play or a console network, its terms also apply, and you must follow them. For games obtained from Apple's App Store, Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the game or its support, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Links to third-party sites and services are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for them.
10. Suspension and termination
If you break these terms or the Community Rules, we may, depending on how serious and repeated it is, warn you, remove content, reset progress or rankings gained unfairly, restrict features such as chat, suspend your account temporarily, or close it permanently. We may act straight away for serious breaches such as cheating, fraud, threats or illegal content, and where the law requires.
We will tell you what we did and why, unless doing so would be unlawful or put someone at risk. You can appeal by replying to the notice or writing to [email protected] within 30 days, and a person will review it. If your account is closed for a serious breach, you lose your licence to use virtual items on it, without refund, unless the law requires otherwise. If we close your account for any other reason, we will refund unused paid virtual currency or give you reasonable notice.
You can stop using the Services and delete your account whenever you like.
11. Changes to the games and these terms
Games change over time. We may update, add, change or remove content and features to improve them, keep them secure, follow the law, or respond to how they are played. We will not make changes that substantially reduce what you paid for without telling you and, where the law requires, offering a remedy.
We may update these terms. For important changes, we will tell you in the game, by email or on this website at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a change is required by law or to deal with a safety or security risk sooner. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Services and delete your account before the change takes effect.
12. What we promise, and its limits
We provide the games with reasonable care and skill, as described. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”: we do not promise they will be uninterrupted, error-free or available forever, or that any particular content will remain in a game.
Your legal rights are not affected. If you are a consumer, you have rights under the law of the country where you live (for example, the right to digital content that is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality). Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
13. Liability
- We are not liable for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, for losses caused by your breach of these terms, for business losses (the games are for personal use), or for problems caused by your device, connection or third-party software.
- Where the law allows a limit, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 euros.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
14. Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem, please contact us first; most issues can be solved quickly. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova, and the courts of Chișinău have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
Consumers in the EU may also use their national consumer dispute resolution bodies or the European Consumer Centres Network. We are not required to, and do not, take part in alternative dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we will always try to resolve complaints directly.
15. General
- These terms, the Community Rules, the Privacy Policy and any extra rules shown in a game are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to another company that takes over a game or the business, and it will not reduce your rights.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation and it differs, the English version applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
